Born and raised in Sweden, Johanna Gard grew up in a musical family. Gospel was her main musical influence and she toured with her family throughout most of her childhood. In her early teens, the family moved to Ethiopia for a two year project to help build a school for children with parents suffering from terminal diseases. While in Africa they took the opportunity to sing and perform in numerous churches.

Upon her return to Sweden, Johanna started and continues to tour with her own soul inspired band, she is as one of the lead vocalists in the Swedish Gospel Choir “By Grace” and in 2005 recorded as guest vocalist on their album "Glorious.” When time permits, Johanna also performs as a back-up vocalist/session singer, as well as passing on her knowledge and experience as a vocal coach.

She’s now devoting all her energy towards pursuing a solo career, and has just completed a self-titled EP with producers Snowflingz, soon to be available on iTunes. She will also be performing later this year at the 2006 Volvo for Life Awards alongside Avril Lavigne and the world-famous Harlem Gospel choir.
